Nokia Lumia 610 : slow BUT steady!

                                                  INTORDUCTION

   Nokia lumia 610 is the cheapest phone of the Lumia series. It was released on July 6th 2012.

                                                    DESIGN AND FEATURES

  The design of Lumia 610 and 710 looks same. The 610 weighs 133 grams. It is also hand friendly. It has a 5MP camera with LED flash. It is however prone to greasy hands and is easily a prey to finger prints. It has 250 MB RAM and has 8GB internal memory but does not have any space for external storage. 

                  

                                     

                                                      SCREEN AND DISPLAY 

 Unlike it's family like Lumia 710 and 800 it has no  clearback Amoled or TFT. It has 3.7 inch screen with a LCD and WVGA screen with a resolution of 480*800 pixel. The Graphics are cool. But glaring is a big problem for it. 

                    

                                                     CAMERA AND VIDEO

 It has a 5 MP camera with LED flash. We can operate camera even when the phone is locked. The video is however smooth and has auto focus            

                             

                                                   SOFTWARE

Nokia Lumia 610 runs on windows 7.5. we can change the wallpaper of our home screen. However the home screen will be crowded with apps in the form of tiles ( like all other Lumia). We can change the order of the tiles. A search bar is locate at the the bottom of the the home screen. We can even add a web page to our home screen. It has a voice assistant which can be used to dictate messages. Apps such as Office and Skype drive make Lumia a better phone. The office app lets us edit and save and view documents. MS Excel and MS Word can be viewed, saved and edited in this device. But in the case of PowerPoint presentation it can only be viewed. The Skype drive app helps us to collaborate the documents of  our device and the PC. Other apps include Nokia maps and Nokia Drive. The Nokia maps gives us a signal which is indicated at the top of the screen of the 610, when we are approaching a turn. Nokia Drive helps us to view downloaded maps when we are offline. But a big disappointment in this phone is that we can't upgrade its OS system from the present Windows phone 7.5 to Windows Phone 8 like 710 and 800. But we can still upgrade it to 7.8. 

                                            BATTERY LIFE.

 As my title Lumia 610 is slow but steady. It works well with 3G and Wi-Fi networks. It has a wonderful 1300mAh. However apps  like angry birds cannot be installed . And moreover there is no is  screen shots. The price is just 12.999 Indian rupees .
